ABOUT THE ROLE: 
We are a growing small business seeking a hands-on Finance Consultant (Part-time) who will take ownership of both day-to-day bookkeeping and higher-level accounting functions. This individual will work directly in QuickBooks Online while also manually maintaining core financial reports such as cash flow statements, P&L reports, and balance sheets. The role requires someone detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable entering, reconciling, and reporting on financial data to support decision-making and keep the business on track.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you'll get to...
  • ensure all financial transactions and  supporting documents are properly recorded and organized.
  • maintain accuracy and timeliness of all entries to ensure books are always up to date.
  • prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including cash flow, profit & loss, and balance sheets.
  • manually update reporting spreadsheets (outside of QuickBooks) for management visibility and scenario planning.
  • assist with year-end reporting and coordination with external CPA/tax advisors.
  • maintain organized documentation to support financial transactions and audits.
  • monitor expenses against budget and flag variances for management review.
  • ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
  • perform other duties as needed by the role
REQUIREMENTS:
On day one, we'll expect you to...
  • have 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance administration (small business experience preferred).
  • be Proficient in QuickBooks Online or Desktop
  • have a Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for building and maintaining manual reports.
  • have an Understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus).
  • be detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • have the Ability to work independently in a small business setting with minimal supervision
  • possess strong communication skills—able to present financial information clearly to non-financial managers.
  • be proactive problem solver who can spot inconsistencies and take corrective action.
  • Be reliable, trustworthy, and committed to confidentiality of financial data.
  • have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties
  • be willing to install next-generation endpoint protection on the computer
  • be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there
  • be willing to work in US Pacific time zone or client time zone.

  • This is a remote (work from home) job
  • Part-time opportunity (up to 20 hours per week)
