ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The Data Analyst will be working with our clients to gather, analyze, evaluate, and organize their data from various sources and systems. This role will be working closely with business stakeholders to understand their data and make recommendations on how they can use their data effectively.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable with working with data coming from different sources and systems and has a deep understanding on how the data can be used or manipulated to get the desired results or outcome.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you'll get to

  • work with the client to document the desired outcome
  • evaluate the data sets and source systems to define the fields and purpose
  • document findings, observations, and assumptions
  • review the findings, observations, and assumptions with the stakeholder
  • gather additional reporting and/or cleansing requirements
  • extract and manipulate data
  • develop reports and dashboards
  • collaborate with business and IT to resolve data issues
  • validate data for accuracy and completeness
  • perform other duties assigned related to the role

REQUIREMENTS:

On day one, we'll expect you to

  • have 2 - 5 years progressive experience designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards
  • have a strong knowledge working with data from databases and source systems
  • have knowledge of SQL and DAX, SQL for database querying and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating custom calculations in Power BI
  • have experience collaborating with business and IT teams
  • possess strong problem-solving skills
  • have experience in writing instructions to solve problems
  • have experience in troubleshooting data-related issues and maintaining the Power BI infrastructure to ensure it's up-to-date and running smoothly
  • be an expert in ensuring accuracy and reliability of the data presented in dashboards and reports
  • have experience in validating the data and implementing quality checks
  • possess familiarity with data terminology and best practices
  • be comfortable presenting to clients at all levels
  • have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties
  • be willing to install next-generation endpoint protection on the computer
  • be a current resident of the Philippines or US and can perform work from there
  • be willing to work in US Pacific Timezone up to 20 hours a week
  • be open to project focused tasks which are subject to client deadlines

What separates the best from the rest:

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • strong knowledge of Excel (formulas and pivot table)

NOTE:

  • This is a remote (work from home) part time/ project-based position.
